Our Story

The Marietta Marlins swim club was founded by Coach Lim in Atlanta, Georgia, developing from his neighborhood summer league team, the Holly Springs Waves, in 1993. Under his guidance, the Marlins achieved unprecedented success in Georgia swimming by claiming the Division II state Senior, Age Group (AG) and Northern Divisional (NDiv) Championship titles 05-06 short course season; and Senior and AG Championships for 06 long course season. Georgia Swimming recognized this achievement by naming Coach Lim as the 2006 Senior Coach of the Year and 2009 Age Group Coach of the Year. The Marlins continued its team success for the 06-09 short course season by again claiming the Senior, AG, and Northern Division, Division II Championship titles.
